1975. Neagu. Upper Burma Road. Mallaig. Edinburgh Arts 1975.

4-6 August 1975. Paul Neagu on the track of the upper road originally built by the crofter Alexander McDonald between his house at Mallaig Mhor and Mallaig, which came to be known as 'the Burma Road'. McDonald made two stone-built roads, the earlier following a lower line round the headland. The original construction of the upper road (pictured) had been effectively destroyed by an 'improved' track built by army engineers before the Edinburgh Arts 1975 visit.
