23 August - 4 September 1971. Ion Caramitru in Richard Demarco's office at the RDG, 8 Melville Crescent, Edinburgh, during Romanian Art Today, the RDG's prtogramme of contemporary Romanian art, dance, poetry, film and theatre, in association with the Edinburgh International Festival. The programme included the Bulandra Theatre Company (of Bucharest, Romania) production of Leonce and Lena, at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, directed by Liviu Ciulei. Caramitru played the role of Prince Leonce.
