9-12 July 1977. Patrick Heron's studio at Eagle's Nest, Zennor, Cornwall, with copies of The Guardian newspaper (1974) laid out to show Heron's 14,000 word article (published over three days) in which he compared the New York Abstract Expressionists and the St. Ives School, criticising the dominance of the former and the influence of Clement Greenberg. The photograph was taken during a visit by the Edinburgh Arts 1977 group.
