Gaelic scholar and poet John MacInnes of the School of Scottish Studies, University of Edinburgh (left), in conversation with the poet and storyteller Murdo Macfarlane ('the Melbost Bard') at Shawbost, Lewis, Outer Hebrides. A ceilidh was also held involving local singers and poets, including Murdo Gillies, Agnes Maclennan, Mairi Maclennan, Angus Graham and Donald Murray. MacInnes also lectured to Edinburgh Arts on 17th century Gaelic women poets. Edinburgh Arts 1975.
