Detail of Ainslie Yule's sculpture Rack (1977; painted steel with wood to simulate slate) in the exhibition  Ainslie Yule, Sculptures and Drawings, at the Scottish Arts Council's Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh. The exhibition subsequently travelled to Third Eye Centre, Glasgow (24 June-28 July), Aberdeen Art Gallery, Ulster Museum, Belfast and Forebank Studios, Dundee. Rack  was previously shown in A Silver Jubilee Exhibition of Contemporary British Sculpture, Battersea Park, London (2 June - 4 September, 1977).
