1963. Jazz quartet playing in the Traverse Gallery (Traverse Theatre), Edinburgh. The band was suggested by Mike Hart, (member of the Traverse theatre Club and later the founder and first director of the Edinburgh Jazz Festival). The work behind is a scrap metal wall construction by Mark Boyle now on loan to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art from the collection of Sean Hignett, and a key work in the major Boyle Family exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in 2004.
